Integrated Training

The ASTI integrated training program facilitates collaboration across related agencies within cities, counties, states and federal jurisdictions. The training offers comprehensive strategies in an immersive, real-world setting to address today’s threats.

The cross-functional approach develops effective collaboration techniques and new strategies for identifying and responding to threats and emergency events. Personnel from Emergency Management, Police, Fire and Medical will benefit greatly from this training.

Funding

Funds from the State Homeland Security Program, Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI), and Emergency Management Performance Grant can all be used to fund integrated training through ASTI. ASTI courses also correlate closely with the FEMA Core Capabilities that serve as the basis for many of the DHS grant programs.

Continuing Education

The Advanced Security Training Institute is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). ASTI complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, the Advanced Security Training Institute is accredited to issue the IACET Continuing Education Unit (CEU).
